Anniversary Picnic Favors

Sunday, August 31, 2014

My husband's grandparent's recently celebrated their 60th anniversary party with a picnic at their farm.  For the favors, I printed the expression, "With you, everyday is a picnic" along with a picnic basket and two ants onto a white treat bag.  Each bag was filled with a few pieces of nostalgic candy and sealed it with a piece of check fabric washi tape from Michael's.

Heart Salads with Homemade Heart Croutons

Sunday, February 2, 2014

These heart salads are a great addition to any Valentine's or anniversary dinner, and easy to create by making a few easy changes to your typical salad!

Using a small heart cookie cutter, cut cheese slices and red peppers into heart shapes. Add to your favorite salad, along with homemade heart  croutons.

Homemade Heart Croutons:
Bread
Herbs de Province
Olive Oil

Using whatever bread you have on hand, cut out heart shapes using a small heart cookie cutter.  Place on cookie sheet, drizzle with olive oil and herbs de province.  Bake @ 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crunchy.

Funny 30th Anniversary Gift

Sunday, June 16, 2013

Our friends recently celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary. I had seen thirty beers given for a 30th birthday, one for each year of their life.  Since our friends love beer, I thought we could do the same for each year of marriage!

We made labels for each year's beer that listed the anniversary, year they celebrated that anniversary, the traditional anniversary gift (paper, linens, cotton, silver, etc.), and something that had to do with the traditional gift that year (so we were being traditional and not just giving them beer ;-) )

Some were straight forward, some were personal jokes, others we tried to make funny like the ones above.
